The 100% bio de-gradable ideal growing media for all agricultural purposes

Products derived from coconut husks, including coir pith, chopped fibre & coconut husk chips are a popular additive/alternative to soil among many growers. Coco coir is an ideal growing medium because it holds water exceptionally well while still promoting good drainage and aeration. It is also easily renewable, unlike peat moss, which has been the subject of controversy for some time now because it is considered a non-renewable resource.

The potential of coco pith together with husk chips and chopped coco fibre as a suitable growth medium has been known for generations. At Hayleys Fibre, we succeeded in converting these into commercially usable products.

COCO Fibre Pith

Ideal growing medium with hi water porosity.

Husk Chips

Chopped/Cut husk for special mixes such as Orchids.

Chopped / Cut Fibre

Chopped/Cut fibre to increase air porosity of the growing mixture.

Benefits of using coco peat as a growing media

Retains moisture & provides a good environment

Coco coir is one of the most effective growing media for water retention out there. It can absorb up to 10x its weight in water, meaning the roots of your plants will never get dehydrated.

Most reliable and eco-friendly solution

Currently, coco peat is the most reliable, eco-friendly solution to replace peat moss, rock wool or any other growing medium which become popular among the gardening hobbyists.

Insect-neutral Method

Most garden pests do not enjoy settling in coconut coir, making it yet another line of defense in your integrated pest management system for your garden.

Better than “traditional hydroponics”

Highly hydrophilic, strongly absorb liquid and gases due to the honeycomb structure which gives high surface area per unit volume
